Doom Movie

Went to watch the Doom movie (http://www.doommovie.com/) the other day with my gf....

Overall, the movie was rather dark (pretty much like the game), and the characters in the movie got to use flashlights together with their weapons, unlike the Doom3 game, lol...

(For those fans who want a really, really good flashlight mod for the Doom3 games, as well as its expansion RoE, look no further... Go to http://neherson.narod.ru/ now!)

It's kinda weird how the scriptwriters deviated from the "Demons from Hell" theme of the Doom plot, that all Doom fans learn to love, into yet another "Omg some bloody virus is going around infecting everyone!" (aka Resident Evil) clone. I'd rate the movie higher if they sticked to the "Demons from Hell" theme, 'cos it just better. Who cares about the whinings from those religious cocklenadens anyway?

I wished there were more monsters in the movie. So far, they only showed the zombies, imps, a Pinky-demon and Hell-Knights. There are many more interesting monsters from the Doom games that weren't shown, strangely. Maybe the producers are leaving some space for a sequel, who knows huh....

Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, looks pretty credible as a actor, imo.... I actually feel that he is the Sarge, instead of The Rock, so it's a good sign, lol. It's sad when audiences typecast you no matter what/who you act as. Just look at Leonardo DeCaprio.... No matter what, he'll always be Jack (aka The Suay Boy on the Suay Ship) in my eyes.

Hmmm, I was thinking of a nice way to end this entry, since it's the 1st time since a long long time that I've updated my blog. But then again, what the heck, this isn't 0-levels English composition writing.

That's all, folks!
