Similar Spirals

Check out the logo of the Mediacorp Channel 8 TV drama “Portrait of Home” (Tong Xing Yuan), http://ch8.mediacorptv.com/shows/drama/view/600/1/.html

Then check out the logo of the Singapore Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF),

See the similarities? Either the “spiral-logo” is the current fad in logo-design, or our local designers are really running out of ideas. Or maybe it’s really a damn coincidence!

Also, the new TV serial of Channel 5, called “Full Circle” (one of those docu-drama types depicting the real-life stories of people who experienced hardships blah blah blah) spots a similar logo in the TV trailer.
However, when I went to the Channel 5 site to check it out, the show seemed to be spotting a new logo.

Maybe someone pointed out to the producers that the “spiral-logo” is already being used by other well-known parties?

Whatever it is, if people ever ask me to design a logo for them, I’ll take note *never* to do a “spiral-logo”, in case I get accused of being yet another copy-cat!
