Online Exposure

No, this has nothing to do with Tammy, hahaha….

Anyway, back to topic...
I’ve seen/heard about this story quite a few times:
Human A (usually a female) puts photos of his/her private life on the Internet, usually via blog/Friendster.
People start making “not-so-nice” comments on the pictures.
Human A gets pissed off and takes down all his/her photos and tells people to mind their own business.

Here’s my take on the situation…. Internet is accessible by anyone and everyone. If you choose to put your private photos on the Internet, that means anyone and everyone can see it. That includes that suck-up loser from your office, or that chee-hong nerd from your ex-class.

People will always gossip, especially if the contents of the photos have "potential". For example, if a girl shows photos of she and her bf on bed hugging each other, people might gossip “Wah… Barely together for a few weeks then start f**king already ah….”… you get my point.

If you are soooooo sensitive about people’s comments, then why would you even want to put up the photos where everyone can see them? If you only want to share them with a few close friends, then you should upload them into a secure (password protected) site. If you don’t want to do that and choose to upload the photos to a public site, and yet still tell people “not to be kay poh”, then you must be a mentally confused individual.

Disclaimer: In case some of you are wondering, I m not involved in the above-mentioned real-life situations.
